This video commissioned by electronic music composer Chris Hunt for his Tomb EP. Ultimatum builds sonically into an emotional crescendo of distorted landscapes. The industrial and aggressive tone of the album brings forth the ideas of isolation, anonymity and stillness of movement. The images are the journey of unmasking through a traumatic destruction. The faceless man is set on an endless journey, walking through desolate landscapes of a concrete city. His is called towards a place that will see his end, hunted my a ghost of night. Veiled in black, the woman is armed a long bow, waits for his arrival. The songs climactic chorus is visualized through the shot of arrow that strikes the mans body. He finds one’s self in the arms of another and finding peace in that stillness. Chris Hunt is an Atlanta based musician. Hunt offers up a counterpart to his debut, titled Tomb II. Unlike its predecessor, this second installment is an instrumental affair, and a huge, atmospheric effort steeped in monstrous drones and dark abstraction. The glittering darkness that underlies both Tomb and Tomb II resonates with a tragic period from Hunt’s life book-ended by having to move when a tree crushed his home.
